Bonnie Braid is my favorite macrame cord. I use the 6mm size for larger projects and the 4mm for smaller ones. It is easy to work with and comes in many colors.

The Macramé Project Board will be incredibly helpful for petite knotting and braiding designs. The light-weight 1/2 inch (12.7mm) cork is covered in a paper with a 1 inch (25.4mm) grid for speedy measuring. The board arrives wrapped in plastic to assist with tape-held projects, and it also keeps the paper tethered to the cork board. The board measures 11 x 17 inches (28cm x 43cm) and comes with five or six 1.5 inch (38mm) long steel t-pins. Though the macramé project board is not self-healing, it should provide a crafter with several years of quality assistance with regular use.
