Founded in 1917 as the Pepperell Braiding Company, we began by manufacturing braided shoelaces in our hometown of Pepperell, Massachusetts. As creativity evolved, so did we. Over the decades, our products became part of countless projects, from the macramé boom of the 1970s to today's growing community of makers, artists, educators, and DIY enthusiasts. Along the way, iconic products like Bonnie Braid® macramé cord, Rexlace® plastic lacing, paracord, jewelry cord, and candle wicking became trusted staples in workshops, classrooms, camps, and homes across the country.
