Basketry and coil paper art is a simple and pleasurable craft. Baskets can be made from scrap yarns, fabrics, paper (we recommend tissue paper or other fine weight material,) and macrame cord. Beyond basketry, the paper cord can be used to make jewelry, piping for furniture and home decor crafts, or used as collage material in arts & crafts or classroom settings. The coiling cord is made from 100% paper core bound in a fine polyester mesh knit. We recommend taping off cutting points to prevent fray. Use with your favorite sport, worsted or jumbo weight yarns. Large-eye plastic needles are recommended. The 1/4 inch (6mm) paper cord is sold as a 180 foot (55 meter) coil. The coil contains enough material to create about 6 small (5 inch x 3 inch) wrapped coil baskets. Made in the USA.
