New Blog!

New Blog!

Hi Pepperell friends!  We're trying to get back into our blog and so now I'll be updating this too!  Interacting with customers is something I look forward to and has become a great way to interact with everyone.  So today I didn't know where to starts, and while I was thinking about it and and working on projects I did the most dangerous thing in the world: I put on You Tube!  (insert Dun Dun Duuuuuunnnnn! sound here)

You ever do that? It is so easy to go down the You Tube rabbit hole.  I know, I  know, it's controversial.  There's bad people, there's videos that are gross, there are videos that make you angry.  All of it!  You know what else is on there?  Instructions!  Inspiration!  Creative people like I have never seen.  My favorites: the people who look at some old cereal box, and use it to make something so beautiful.  I'll be perfectly frank here, I utilize it so much it's not even funny.  I've spent many hours on You Tube watching people decorating cakes and wondering how I can apply them to crafts.   hmmmm....

But seriously, we have not been able to break into You Tube.  We've tried.  We've failed.    :-/   Honestly, the BEST people on there are the ones who make it look SO easy that I could do it!  I've been taking our plastic clips from the Clip It! kits and trying my hand at crafting with them.  As a small craft company whose specialties include plastic lacing, the idea of using recycled materials to craft with is pretty far from our wheel house.  However, I DID figure it out.  Yes, they work with craft sticks (or popsicle sticks...if you will) and I stacked and glued some old tissue boxes, cut them into strips and started building with those too.  It seems like a lot of work, but it's not.

So this weekend, I dare you: get on You Tube, Instagram, Tik Tok, Facebook, Etsy...wherever, and just search for one thing you might find interesting and  Go. Down. The Rabbit hole.  Discover something new.  A new technique, a new craft, something that inspires you.  Always feel free to share them with us (wink wink) and have fun.  Hey---that's half the reason to craft right?

I'm just over here crafting people!   Anna  :-)
